Zoocci Coke Dope & Die Mondez’s Classic Collaborative Offering "Die Dope" Goes Gold.

Updated: Feb 10, 2023

In 2019, the province (state) of Gauteng unearthed a duo of diamonds in the rough. In what is now documented as the inception of Piff Audio, Zoocci Coke Dope and Die Mondez shook the South African Landscape of Trap Music with their Classic collaborative offering Die Dope, boasting singles like “Different”“Demo”, and the contrast of the cadence driven “Dope (Interlude)” and its lyrical bully counterpart “Die (Interlude)”.

Three years later, not only has their consistency formalised Piff Audio as a fully functional business, the fruits of their labour have ripened with the announcement that Die Dope is certified Gold. Congratulations flooded Die Mondez’s Instagram stories when images of the plaque surfaced on his social media account, where he also shared news of a sequel to Die Dope in the works.

Following inking the Piff Audio deal, Die Mondez released In The Trap, an eclectic follow up to his "Die Mondez Are Forever" and his collaborative offering with FLVME "Red Light District". Nested by the street anthem "ITCHY PALMS” (feat. Zoocci Coke Dope”) and an ode to Die Mondez receiving his flowers while he's alive “WHEN I’M DEAD” (feat. Blxckie x FLVME).

As a short outlook into hard knocks of the outlaw nuance of trap life, In The Trap is riddled with beat switching moments, reflective of how vigilant one ought to be in the streets because just like the beats, the folks you hustle with can switch up on you in the name of the almighty Rand or Dollar.

Affectionately known by his street Moniker Mezzo, Die Mondez has given fans a treat with an In The Trap Live Session pushing the envelope of his 2030 Vision. Watch Below:
